Remembering 9/11: Honoring Courage, Sacrifice, and Remembrance

Today marks the anniversary of September 11th, a day etched in history and in our collective memory. It is a time to pause and reflect on the countless lives forever changed by that tragic day. As we remember, we honor those brave individuals who ran into danger to save others, embodying courage and selflessness. Conversely, we also remember those who, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, suffered the greatest loss—their lives taken too soon.

This day serves as a solemn reminder of the profound impact of that fateful morning on families, communities, and the nation as a whole. Their loss is felt deeply, and their memories continue to inspire acts of kindness, resilience, and unity.

Today, the HTPD paused at Rose Tree to pay their respects, standing in silent remembrance of the lives lost and the heroes who responded. It is a day that will never be forgotten—an enduring testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of never forgetting those we lost.
