Trash and recycling collection will begin as early as 5:30 AM on Tuesday through Thursday of this week due to the extreme heat. Please be patient with our sanitation crews.

Please note: The Township will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. As a result, there will be no trash or recycling pickup. On Monday, July 6th, recycling ONLY will be picked up to make up for Friday's collection. There will be NO brush pick up. Thank you.

Heat Advisory issued on Monday, June 29th through Friday, July 4th by NWS Mount Holly NJ:

• What: Heat index values up to 110 degrees expected.
• Where: Portions of northern Delaware, central and southern New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.
• When: From Wednesday afternoon through Saturday evening.
• Impact: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Very warm low temperatures in the mid 70s to low 80s at night will not offer any relief from the heat. This combined with multiple days of near record breaking temperatures will exacerbate the impacts from the heat and humidity.

NWS Recommendation:

• Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
• Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
• If you do not have air conditioning in your home or lack shelter, you can call 211 or visit your county or state health department website for assistance locating appropriate shelter from the heat.
